Büsingen · Germany
Caregiver Büsingen
Care for an independently living 85-year-old lady, 65 kg, 160 cm, who has been diagnosed with dementia and urinary and fecal incontinence and uses diapers. She recognizes close relatives, is oriented within her home environment, and also oriented in familiar surroundings outside the home. Time orientation is limited; she cannot organize appointments, her short-term memory is significantly deteriorating, she often lives in memories of the past, and cannot always connect events correctly. She has difficulty accepting her health condition. She communicates understandably, although she has trouble finding the right words. Hearing and sight are age-appropriate. The lady is physically mobile without aids, walks independently, gets out of bed and off a chair without help, and only needs accompaniment outside the home. She primarily needs guidance and supervision for dressing and personal hygiene. It is necessary to ensure regular changing of clothes, guide her with daily hygiene, and assist her as needed if she wishes. She eats independently, but attention must be paid to regular shared meals and adequate fluid intake. She manages the toilet independently. The scope of work includes meal preparation, shopping, cleaning, laundry, running errands, providing companionship, supervising the daily routine, and maintaining a regular daily structure. Night care is needed approximately twice per night. Free time by agreement.
