Caregiver Windhagen

Care for an independently living 92-year-old gentleman, 75 kg, 165 cm, who is physically reasonably strong for his age but has advanced dementia/Alzheimer's and impaired hearing. He can still walk, but only for short distances, about 200 meters. He experiences occasional headaches and back pain for which he takes medication. He needs assistance with dressing, hygiene, using the toilet, and showering (twice a week). Morning toileting and dressing require supervision. He needs to be accompanied on walks, and he must be supervised. It is important that he is always under supervision. He wears dentures which need to be cleaned. Meals need to be prepared, laundry done, and the household kept tidy. Shopping can be handled by the family, who live 35 km away. A bus is also available if needed (to Bad Honnef every 30 minutes). A nursing service also visits the home to administer medication. Night duty is not required. Lifting is not necessary. No special aids are required.
