Care for a 90-year-old lady, 60 kg, 160 cm, who is bedridden. After a stroke during the winter, she has recovered well. She does not have paralysis, but weakness in the left leg persists. She spends most of her time in bed. She is mentally sound, oriented, and only mildly forgetful. She suffers from urinary incontinence. The lady is completely dependent on assistance with dressing, personal hygiene, and using the toilet. It is necessary to ensure transfers from bed to a wheelchair and to the toilet. Every evening around 9:00 PM, she needs to be prepared for sleep. Incontinence products are changed approximately every 4-5 hours during the day. The household has a barrier-free bathroom and a shower chair, and the family can provide showering assistance if needed. The caregiver's duties include preparing meals, shopping, cleaning, laundry, and maintaining cleanliness in the lady's living space. Normally, the son-in-law cooks for the whole family, but the caregiver can also cook by agreement with the family. Night duty is not required. In the morning around 7:00 AM, an incontinence product needs to be changed. Moderate physical assistance is required for transfers. The lady can stand on both legs and take a few steps, so she is able to cooperate when getting up and transferring to a wheelchair. The lady lives in a shared house with her daughter, son-in-law, and 16-year-old grandson. The kitchen is shared, and the caregiver, along with the lady, has her own bathroom, a separate entrance, and a separated part of the house where the senior has three rooms available. Free time is by agreement. The family speaks Croatian. A translator can be used.
