Care for a 90-year-old elderly lady, 60 kg, 160 cm, who is bedridden. She recovered well after a stroke she suffered during winter. She does not have paralysis, but weakness in the left lower limb persists. She spends most of her time in bed. She is mentally sound, oriented, and only slightly forgetful. She suffers from urinary incontinence. The lady is completely dependent on help with dressing, personal hygiene, and using the toilet. It is necessary to ensure transfers from bed to the wheelchair and to the toilet. Every evening around 9:00 PM, she needs to be prepared for sleep. Incontinence aids are changed approximately every 4-5 hours during the day. The household has a barrier-free bathroom and a shower chair; the family can also assist with showering if needed. The caregiver's responsibilities include meal preparation, shopping, cleaning, laundry, and maintaining cleanliness in the elderly lady's living space. Normally, the son-in-law cooks for the whole family, but the caregiver can also cook by agreement with the family. Night work is not required. In the morning, around 7:00 AM, it is necessary to change her incontinence aid. A moderate amount of physical assistance is required for transfers. The lady can stand on both legs and take a few steps, so she is able to cooperate with getting up and transferring to the wheelchair. The lady lives in a shared house with her daughter, son-in-law, and 16-year-old grandson. The kitchen is shared. The caregiver, along with the lady, has her own bathroom, a separate entrance, and a separate part of the house where the senior has three rooms available. Free time is by agreement. The family speaks Croatian. A translator can be used.
