Caregiver for Gröbenzell

Care for an independently living 81-year-old lady, 80 kg, 165 cm, who has early-stage dementia, gait disturbance, arthritis, and diabetes. Speech is partially limited, temporal, spatial, and personal orientation are partially impaired. The lady is rather apathetic and needs active engagement and motivation. Walking is currently almost impossible, standing is limited. She requires assistance with transfers and can only cooperate to a small extent. She uses a cane or walker for ambulation. The lady needs help with washing, showering, hair and skin care, and dressing. She needs assistance with certain items of clothing during dressing. She has urinary incontinence, uses pads, and requires partial assistance with toileting. She eats independently and drinks enough fluids. She uses a cup with a spout. Medications are prepared by the nursing service. Night assistance is needed occasionally, 1-2 times per night, for trips to the toilet. The lady enjoys television, radio, reading, music, nature, gardening, and crosswords. She is interested in activities and a fixed daily routine. The caregiver should engage the lady, keep her company, converse with her, and encourage physical and mental activity. In addition to caring for the lady, the caregiver is responsible for cooking, laundry, ironing, cleaning, assistance with hygiene, dressing, and toileting, medication supervision, shopping and errands outside the home, and accompanying her to doctors' appointments and other engagements. External help also assists with shopping, cooking, and cleaning. Neighbors and volunteers occasionally help. The lady lives alone in a barrier-free ground-floor apartment. A private bathroom is available for the caregiver, and there is a car with an automatic transmission. Free time is negotiable.
