Caregiver Nördlingen

Care for a 90-year-old gentleman, 80 kg, 185 cm, who has dementia, general frailty, and diabetes treated with medication. He has impaired short-term memory, becomes confused, and has partially impaired temporal and spatial orientation. He has a tremor in both hands and difficulty grasping objects. The gentleman is in good physical condition and moves independently. He enjoys working in the garden. He manages personal hygiene and dressing independently; assistance is only needed based on his current condition. Lifting is not required. The caregiver is responsible for cooking, shopping, cleaning, laundry, and general household management. Shops are within walking distance. The gentleman needs companionship, walks, leisure activities, and assistance in daily life. The primary role of the caregiver is nighttime care. The gentleman typically wakes up around 3:00 AM. He needs guidance, help with orientation, and, if possible, assistance back to bed. It is important to ensure he does not leave the house alone at night. An 85-year-old wife also lives in the household; she does not require caregiving but can no longer provide care for her husband. The caregiver performs household chores for both spouses. Free time is by agreement.
