She manages personal hygiene mostly independently, needing help as required with showering and hair washing. She manages toileting and meals independently. The caregiver also handles cooking, shopping, cleaning, and laundry. It is important to ensure adequate fluid intake, regular shared meals, and encourage appetite. Medication is prepared by another person; the caregiver supervises its intake. As agreed with the family, she escorts the lady to doctor's appointments and other engagements. Company, maintaining a daily routine, appropriate activation, and cooking together are important. Family and friends are in regular contact with the lady. Nighttime assistance has not been needed so far. Complete living quarters are available for the caregiver on the lower floor of the house. Free time as agreed.
