Care for an independently living 88-year-old lady, 60 kg, 160 cm, with early dementia/Alzheimer's. The lady's short-term memory is deteriorating, she often repeats herself and asks the same questions. She recognizes people but doesn't always remember names. She is oriented in her home and time. She is not aggressive. She has hearing difficulties and no hearing aid, so speaking louder and clearly is necessary. She walks around the house with a walker without assistance. Outdoors, she can manage short distances with a walker and assistance; for longer distances, she uses a wheelchair. She requires partial assistance with dressing and personal hygiene, especially with showering and hair washing. She is independent with eating and using the toilet. Supervision is needed for taking prepared medications, ensuring adequate fluid intake, and regular meals. The caregiver also handles cooking, shopping, cleaning, laundry, and general household management. She assists with the daily routine, accompanies the lady to appointments, and provides companionship. The lady wishes to remain as independent as possible, so it is advisable to involve her in household tasks and decision-making. She enjoys visiting the cemetery about 500 m away, going to church on Sundays, praying the rosary in the afternoons, and knitting socks. Night duty is not required. A private bathroom is available for the caregiver on weekdays. Free time is by agreement.
