Care for an 86-year-old gentleman, 70 kg, 175 cm, with general senile weakness and urinary incontinence. He is primarily mobile in a wheelchair but can walk a few steps with assistance. He requires help when getting up and sitting down, needing to be lifted or slowly lowered into a chair or wheelchair. The gentleman cooperates actively. He wears diapers as a precaution and announces his need for the toilet himself. He requires complete assistance with personal hygiene, dressing, and toileting, and partial assistance with meals. Meals also need to be cut. It is important to ensure he drinks enough fluids. He is slightly forgetful and occasionally confused depending on his daily state, but his orientation in time, space, and towards people is preserved. A wheelchair, a commode chair, a bath lift, a hoist, and an adjustable bed located in the living room are available. Night work is not required. The caregiver cooks, shops, cleans, maintains the kitchen, and takes care of laundry. Pajamas should be changed daily, and bed linen several times a week. The caregiver should take the gentleman for 15-20 minute walks in his wheelchair and play games with him 1-2 times a week, keeping him company and talking to him. However, the gentleman sleeps a lot during the day and does not require constant company. His afternoon coffee with cake is very important to him. His wife also lives in the household; she is completely self-sufficient, still drives, and requires no caregiving assistance. However, the caregiver also manages the household for her. Free time is by agreement.
