Care for a independently living 90-year-old lady, 60 kg, 155 cm, who has heart failure, fluid in her lungs, and mild dementia with impaired short-term memory. Her health condition significantly worsened after pacemaker surgery. The lady is very weak, mostly sits in a wheelchair. She can only walk a few steps with a walker and assistance. She requires moderate physical help when standing up and transferring, needing support and to be lifted by both arms. She needs complete assistance with dressing, personal hygiene, and toileting, and partial assistance with eating and drinking. Supervision of fluid intake is important. A physiotherapist visits the home. Night duty is needed irregularly, depending on her current condition. The lady often coughs at night and sometimes needs help and a drink. The caregiver provides complete basic care, cooking, cleaning, laundry, and companionship. Groceries are managed by her daughter, who frequently visits her mother and helps as needed.
