Care for an independently living 87-year-old lady, 55 kg, 165 cm, who walks with the aid of a walker. She suffers from dementia and Alzheimer's, cardiovascular disease, heart failure, and general old age frailty. She has significant memory impairments and occasionally suffers from delusions. She often feels she sees strangers in the garden, prompting her to call the police. At the same time, there are periods when she is fully oriented and communication with her proceeds without problems. The lady has an unsteady gait. She has an artificial hip and suffers from severe pain in the other, non-operated hip. She is a chronic pain patient and takes strong pain medication in tablet form. She has an artificial heart valve, suffers from lower limb swelling, and wears compression stockings. During the day, she requires supervision and appropriate assistance with daily activities. It is necessary to remind her about fluid intake and to eat meals together. The caregiver's duties include maintaining household order, cleaning, laundry, cooking and meal preparation, shopping, providing companionship, organizing leisure activities, and going for walks together. Shops are within walking distance, or a bicycle is available. Night duty or lifting is not required. Free time by arrangement.
