Care for a self-sufficient 85-year-old gentleman (75 kg, 175 cm) suffering from Parkinson's disease, urinary and fecal incontinence, diabetes treated with medication, high blood pressure, heart disease, and general old-age weakness. He is bedridden and confined to bed. He does not suffer from dementia, is oriented to people and surroundings, but time orientation is partially limited, mainly due to significantly impaired hearing and vision. He can clearly express his needs, but it is necessary to speak to him loudly, clearly, and directly. The gentleman is completely dependent on help with personal hygiene, dressing, using the toilet, and incontinence care. He uses diapers for both urine and feces. Hygiene is performed in bed, and incontinence care takes place directly in bed. He tries to cooperate with all tasks to the best of his ability. He needs partial assistance with eating, mainly due to impaired vision. It is necessary to ensure adequate fluid intake and administer food if needed. The scope of work also includes meal preparation, shopping, cleaning, laundry, general errands, supervision of medication intake (which is pre-prepared), assistance with daily care, maintaining a daily routine, companionship, and communication with the senior. Shops are within walking distance. There is an emergency call button available in the household. Night work is generally not required, but exceptionally, the gentleman may call out during the night or early morning and require assistance. Free time by agreement. The caregiver has their own bathroom with a toilet.
