Care for an elderly couple in their shared home. The 86-year-old gentleman, 63 kg, 170 cm, has Parkinson's disease, early-stage dementia, general senile weakness, incontinence, and mild diabetes treated with tablets. Following a fall with fractures of the right shoulder and hip, he is significantly mobility-impaired. Currently, he cannot stand or walk independently. He spends most of his time in bed, and should be in a wheelchair for approximately 3 hours daily. He requires complete assistance with transfers from bed to wheelchair using an electric hoist. He is currently unable to actively cooperate during transfers. A profiling bed is available. The goal is gradual improvement of mobility. Rehabilitation at home is planned 3 times a week starting from the end of October. He needs complete assistance with dressing, personal hygiene, and toileting. He uses a urinal bottle for urination and a commode chair for bowel movements. He has bowel movements every 2-3 days. He requires partial assistance with meals, including feeding as needed. The caregiver will oversee the regular intake of medication. Orientation in time, place, and person is intact. The 83-year-old lady, 58 kg, 168 cm, is mobile, fully oriented, and manages all personal activities independently, including hygiene, dressing, toileting, and meals. She does not require caregiver assistance. The caregiver is responsible for cooking, shopping, cleaning, laundry, and the general running of the household for both spouses. Good cooking skills and the preparation of fresh, tasty, varied, and balanced meals are required. An experienced caregiver is needed who can manage the care of a non-ambulatory person and operate an electric hoist. Experience with Parkinson's and dementia is an advantage. Night work is not required. A private bathroom is available for the caregiver. Free time is by agreement.
