Caregiver Aldingen

Care for an 89-year-old, self-sufficient elderly gentleman (155 cm, 70 kg) with slight mobility issues (hip replacement). He moves around the house with a walker. The gentleman is oriented, occasionally forgetful. He communicates understandably but has impaired hearing; he does not have dementia. He is incontinent (wears pads). He eats and uses the toilet independently but requires assistance with hygiene, dressing, and showering (he has a walk-in shower). He wears compression stockings, which are applied by the nursing service. The caregiver's tasks include household help – cleaning, laundry, shopping, shared meals, and monitoring fluid intake. It is important to maintain a daily routine, accompany the gentleman on walks, up and down stairs, and to doctor's appointments. Night work or heavy lifting is not required. A home helper also visits the household. A car with manual transmission is available.
