Caregiver Erftstadt

Care for a self-reliant 91-year-old lady, 65 kg, 160 cm, with general frailty and mild senile dementia. She is sometimes confused. She currently has a broken foot and ankle, and therefore relies on a wheelchair. Before the injury, she walked with a walker. She needs help getting up and transferring to the wheelchair. She can cooperate when lifted and requires moderate physical assistance. Gradual mobilization is important so she can start walking with a walker again; the lady also attends physiotherapy. She needs partial assistance with dressing, personal hygiene, showering, and toileting. She requires accompaniment for walks. The caregiver also handles cooking, cleaning, laundry, general household help, companionship, and support with mobilization. Shopping can be handled by her daughter. Night duty is required approximately once per night. The lady sometimes has nightmares and needs to be comforted. She is currently also taking sleeping medication. A private toilet and shower for the caregiver are available in the basement of the house. There is a beagle dog in the house. Free time by arrangement.
