Caregiver St. Augustin

Care for an independently living 85-year-old gentleman, 110 kg, 184 cm, who is mobile without aids. He suffers from early-stage dementia and has an increased risk of falling. He can sometimes be slightly confused, appears calmer and slower than before, but is otherwise largely self-sufficient. He manages dressing, personal hygiene, eating, and toileting independently. He can prepare his own dinner; the caregiver is to prepare breakfast and lunch. It is important to supervise regular medication intake. The gentleman should remain as independent as possible, so a natural approach and support without being overbearing are required. Household duties include managing the home, cooking, shopping, cleaning, and laundry. The supermarket is nearby, and the train station is approximately 100 m from the house, with connections to a larger center. A bicycle may be available. On Fridays from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the gentleman attends a seniors' meeting, for which transportation is arranged. Medical appointments and larger shopping trips can be handled by his children. Night care is not required, only exceptionally in case of a fall or sudden deterioration of health. The caregiver has a private bathroom available.
