Short-term memory is deteriorating; the gentleman repeats himself and gradually has more difficulty performing individual activities. The gentleman does not want to be left alone. He is fully mobile, walks, and gets up independently without aids. He manages dressing, personal hygiene, toileting, and eating by himself. He is not incontinent. He has hearing loss, so it is necessary to speak clearly and face him. The caregiver is responsible for cooking, shopping, cleaning, laundry, and general errands. It is important to ensure adequate fluid intake and the use of prepared medications. Maintaining a daily routine, companionship, and conversations are important. According to an agreement with the family, accompaniment to the doctor is also required. An external helper also assists with the household. The son and his wife live in the same house but in a separate apartment and run their own household. The gentleman's 84-year-old partner is regularly present, but a few days a week she stays in her own residence. There is a female Weimaraner in the household, who stays alternately with the gentleman and his son. The garden does not require maintenance; only watering is appreciated. A driver's license is necessary. Night duty is not required. A car is available. Free time as agreed.
