Caregiver Oberweis

Care for an 84-year-old lady, 150 cm and 45 kg, with Parkinson's disease and mobility limitations. Mentally, she is fine, but experiences occasional depression. The lady had her left leg amputated years ago and uses a wheelchair; she is at risk of falling. She is incontinent of urine and has hearing difficulties. Assistance is needed with transfers from the wheelchair; the lady can cooperate partially by standing on her remaining leg (a walker and a care bed are available). An outpatient service treats her wound and prepares her medications. The caregiver performs hygiene, changes incontinence materials, assists with dressing, ensures the lady receives adequate fluid intake, prepares medications, and manages laundry. The lady enjoys participating in small household activities, wheelchair walks, and playing cards. Night work is not required (occasionally once every two weeks). The husband also lives in the household; he does not require care, but cooking and housework should also be done for him. The caregiver has a private room with a TV and a private bathroom. Shops are distant and accessible by car.
